The college session begins on 1st June and closes on 31st May. The first term is from June to December and the second term is from January to May. Admission into the college begins soon after the publication of the results of H.S.C. Examination, Higher Secondary examination and University Examination and continues till the last day prescribed by the University.
Before a student is admitted his/her guardian(if he/she is below 18 years of age) has to sign an undertaking to abide by the rules of the college.
Each student must register in the college office the address at which he/she lives. He/she must also intimate to the office in the event of any subsequent change of address.
a) Application for CLC, Mark sheet etc should be inserted into a slotted closed box specifically kept for the purpose in the office. There should be a clear margin of 2 complete days from the date of application and the date of issue for the same. All applications of grievances should also be inserted into the same box. No application should be submitted to the Principal directly.
b) There shall be a separate slotted closed box marked Renewal of Identity Card into which the identity cards of the previous year should be inserted for renewal.
Sending of identity cards through peons to the Principal is strictly prohibited. Identity Cards inserted into the box for Principal's signature on a particular day shall ordinarily be ready for issue the very next day.
All students who wish to avail leave of absence should apply for leave before they actually absent themselves. In case, submission of application for leave in advance is not possible and the cause of absence is immediate, application for leave should be sent by post addressed to the Principal or submitted immediately after return to the College.
6. Private Club and Terms:
Students are forbidden (i) to belong to any outside Athletic Club or any other type of Club or Society & (ii) to play for any team other than the college team without previous permission from the Principal in writing.
7. Permission to accompany the college team outside the station:
When a team or a party of students is deputed outside Chandikhole, students must obtain permission from the hostel superintendent/Principal.
Students are warned not to use bicycles which do not belong to them without permission of the owner.All bicycles must be padlocked and kept in cycle sheds. Students are advised not to put their bicycles on the verandahs or in the portion or in the front of the Principal's office.
a)Spitting on the walls, floor, pillars or doors of the college is strictly prohibited, Tampering with the electrical gas or any water supply fittings is completely forbidden.
b) Misbehavior of a student in cultural functions will be severely dealt with.
c) Sticking placards, posters, and such other papers and disfiguring walls, doors and windows with pencil, chalk, colours coaltar etc are strictly prohibited.
d) Any students absenting himself from any college examination without obtaining exemption from the Principal will be fined Rs.10/- per paper and Rs.100/- for total absence in the examination.
e) Students attending political meetings should not conduct themselves in a manner as to bring themselves into undesirable prominence. They must not also take part in the proceedings
f) During college hours students should not make any noise and should not loiter in the college verandah particularly near the Principal's office and staff Common-Room.
g) Students should invariably stand silently in queue near the counters (to dispose off their work) and should not enter the office room.
h) No club or society should be started in the college and no function or meeting should be organized without the approval of the Principal.
i) Continued absence without leave for more than one day on the part of students is a serious breach of college discipline.
j) Students must abide by hygienic principles and submit themselves to anti-epidemic measures as would be laid down by the Principal.
10. Identity Card:
Each and every student should carry his/her identity card and library card during his stay in the college. The identity cards containing photo and other particulars of the student shall be produced in the office for renewal at the beginning of each year to the Principal for his signature. Anybody not possessing the identity card in the college for verification of identity shall be dealt with as the Principal may decide. No outsider without due permission of the Principal can attend the class. Any body found deviating such rule will be punished as the Principal will decide.
12. General Rules of Admission:
Under no circumstance admission be claimed as a matter of right. Merit and good conduct of the applicant and any other principles as decided by the Principal from the time to time are taken into consideration for selection of admission.
13. Entry of Names in Registers:
Students are required to note their tutorial practical group and attend (a) general lectures(b) tutorial or practical classes accordingly. The name of every student is entered in register for general lecture and in the tutorial/practical registers concerned. It is the duty of the student of find out his/her name entered in the appropriate registers. In case he/she finds his/her name not in appropriate register he/she should bring the fact at once to the notice of the Principal in writing.
The Principal will not entertain any complaint at a later stage if a student falls short of the prescribed percentage of attendance on the ground that his/her name had not been entered in the appropriate registers in time.
